Dinner and Cocktail Cruises

Cocktail/Dinner cruises are a pleasant way to spend a few hours in the late afternoon or early evening watching the sunset. A typical cruise might consist of you and your guests meeting at the Delamar Hotel in Greenwich, CT (walking distance from MetroNorth) and taking a leisurely passage out of the harbor, listening to a narrative of the history of the waterfront mansions in and around the Greenwich area. Most charterers bring their own food and beverages, or have a caterer do the work delivering the refreshments just prior to the proposed departure. Greenwich Boat Charters can also provide food and drinks, and/or serving hostess for an additional fee if that is preferred. You might want to enjoy motoring at a leisurely pace, or find a quiet, peaceful cove to enjoy your meal...It's all up to you!

Waterfront Tours

In the late 1800's, Greenwich slowly changed from a rural farm community to a suburb of New York City. Waterfront property was converted from grazing land for cows to weekend and permanent mansions for financial titans working in New York City. Fairfield County and Greenwich in particular have high concentrations of corporate CEO's and hedge fund managers with homes next to the water. Most of these homes date back to the early 20th century, and a guided tour by water of the Greenwich waterfront is a pleasant way to spend an afternoon, and substantially cheaper than owning them!

New York Harbor Tours

A tour around New York City by water is a fabulous way to spend an afternoon or evening. It's only an hour away! You can enjoy cocktails and dinner anchored off the Statue of Liberty while watching the lights of the new Freedom Tower under construction. You can watch the passenger ships and cargo ships as they come into New York or pass under the Verrazano Bridge on their outbound voyages. You may also enjoy going completely around Manhattan, down the East River, up the Hudson River and back down the Harlem River past Yankee Stadium. A typical trip takes anywhere between 3 and 5 hours depending on what you would like to see and do in the city.

Commuting

Sailing Cruises

For those of you that prefer to spend your time on the water with just the wind propelling you along, Greenwich Boat Charters will take you out for and afternoon or evening sail on Long Island Sound. Ghost along in light air, or feel the boat heel with water on the lee side when there is a fresh southerly blowing on the Sound. Either way, you and your party can enjoy a terrific day out on the Sound. You can relax while the crew does all the work for you or you can participate and do as much of the work as you would like!
